Marmomac Sets Records with Donatoni’s Stand Achieving Great Success

The 57th edition of Marmomac came to a close last Friday, marking its most international iteration ever in terms of exhibitors and foreign buyers. Great success of visitors for the DONATONI stand.

Marmomac 2023 proved to be a record-breaking edition, concluding on Friday, September 29th. The The Verona-based fair, the world’s most significant event in the industry, emerged as the most international one to date, with 68.5% of the 1,507 exhibiting companies hailing from abroad – precisely 54 countries – and foreign buyers accredited from 138 nations. The fair also experienced absolute growth compared to 2022.

Maurizio Danese, CEO of Veronafiere, commented, “The 57th edition of Marmomac concluded with significant numbers. We surpassed 51,000 operator attendees, marking a 10% increase over 2022. Foreign visitors also grew by 15% in absolute value, reaching 66% of the total. There was a great influx from the Americas, with a 29% increase, thanks to strong arrivals from the United States, Canada, and Brazil. Furthermore, we witnessed a significant return of visitors from China and substantial participation from Europe, notably from Germany, Spain, and France.”

The DONATONI stand also achieved remarkable success among visitors, presenting three world premieres (including the DONATONI J5.42 Waterjet, the DONATONI C4.38 edging machine, and the high-productivity DONATONI SX-5 QXL line) along with a series of machines and innovations designed to maximize the quality, performance, and automation of processes.

Visitors had the opportunity to witness the creation of a sculpture designed by artist Andreas Senoner inside Hall 10, brought to life day by day by a DONATONI CR robot until it was fully completed on the last day of the event. The installation, titled “The Applause” and designed by architect Giorgio Canale, was a unique attraction that garnered significant interest among visitors, allowing them to appreciate the collective effort behind the creation of a magnificent work in natural stone.
